Short Cut: Haunting back-alley rock.
Scenic Route: My favorite movie of the year is now in the books. I caught an early screening of “Only God Forgives” starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Nicholas Winding Refn. These are the two that brought us last year’s instant classic “Drive.” I can’t stop thinking about this movie. I must see it again and soon. To help relive the chills I got, I watched all the trailers again. That is where I came upon this song by Montreal-based band Suuns. Whoever has the job to pick songs for trailers made a beauty choice with this one. This song doesn’t show up in the movie, but sticks perfectly to the trailer. The music throughout the movie could be considered another character, it is that good. Wanna fight?
