After much build up, the Oscars finally arrived yesterday evening and the biggest event in the Hollywood didn’t disappoint. There was laughter, tears, surprises and of course, amazing awe-inspiring fashion. From big over-the-top prom style dresses to minimal sheaths, each actress endeavored to bring a slice of their own style to the red carpet, enhanced with some glamorous jewels and accessories. There was a mixture of looks but each actress strove to exude glamour and pure elegance – and many achieved it. From Jessica Chastain’s figure-hugging gold dress which suited her fiery locks flawlessly, to Charlize Theron’s daring yet minimal plunging white gown that highlighted her golden tan and dramatic short blonde hair, these actresses simply couldn’t be rivaled by their peers on the red carpet. While some of them didn’t manage to take home a gold man of their own, they deserve at least one of those expensive nominee goodie bags for their efforts!
