According to Universal Pictures movie hobnobbers, the first Fifty Shades of Grey movie could be hitting our screens as early as next year, to give us a summer filled with crazy bonking, aggressive snogging in lifts and loads of hilarious nakedness. HOORAH.
Finally, perving at a really fit guy's bits for two hours will become an acceptable past time.
However, this could be a little ambitious, seeing as the film still has absolutely no cast, or that fairly important thing called a director. Although, a whole load of ridiculously fit actors have been linked to the main role, including Ryan Gosling, Ian Somerhalder, Bradley Cooper, Alex Pettyfer, Mark Walberg, Chris Pine and Robert Pattinson.
We're still backing Bieber for the role. (Joking, the thought makes us be a bit sick in our mouth).
Chatting about the movie, chairman of Universal revealed that "I don't believe that [author EL James] had any interest in going to a studio where rushing it into production was the vision. I don't believe that the second or third film would have benefited from that strategy. And I think that there are totally legitimate questions about what this book is as a movie."
We have to say we’re kind of wondering the same thing. Surely there’s only SO many times that it can show a willy before it comes an ACTUAL porno.
Confirming that the project is moving forward, he continued: "I will tell you that it is an absolute priority for us. It's conceivable that we could be ready to release it as early as next summer."
Well how very wonderful and exciting. Whether we’ll actually be able to bring ourselves to go the cinema to ask for a ticket for it is a whole other kettle of fish. We will probably have to go in disguise.
