Sweethearts — better known to the rest of us as tiny, heart-shaped candies made from processed sugar and some other magical ingredient that renders them indestructible — have come to define Feb. 14th. From children to adults, what better way to express your love than with a mini periwinkle-colored heart proclaiming "Be Mine?"
